Jennifer “Joey” Bird –
Jennifer is a Florida Native and has been working in “The Arts” since 1979. Jennifer has
had experience in the worlds of broadcasting (WCIX Sports Intern, Radio work), film
production (AENTV, Montreal Comedy Festival) and improv comedy (Just the Funny,
Miami).
Her primary business is as an art and design appraiser. Since birth, practically, she has
worked in the family business, Modernism Gallery and Modernism.com. In 2007 she
became an event coordinator for Books & Books in Coral Gables, Florida, handling 10-
15 author events weekly including coordinating the Miami Book Fair International, South
Beach Food & Fine Festival and others. In 2015, after the passing of her father,
business partner and mentor, she became the Lead Appraiser for Emmett Appraisal &
Consulting Group.
Jennifer is also an Autism Activist assisting local communities with outreach programs
and awareness. Her two autistic/neurodivergent sons are now interns in the family
business continuing the tradition.
She is currently working on her first novel and the founder of “ModPorium”. A
celebration of Art in All Forms on Instagram.
